How to Save Power Apps List Box Value to SharePoint List?

Power Apps Patch function helps to create new items or update the existing records using any data source.

To save the Power Apps List box selected item to the SharePoint list, refer to this example:

I have a SharePoint list [Power Platform Training] that has various columns like:

I created a Power Apps canvas app and added an Edit form and Button control.

The form contains a Combo box control; instead, I changed it to a List box control. Then, I connected a list box to the above SharePoint list choice column [Course].

When the user selects a list box value and clicks on a button, that selected value will be saved to a SharePoint list as shown below:

Follow the below steps to achieve this:

  • Sign in to your Power Apps with your valid Microsoft 365 credentials.
  • Create a Blank canvas app -> On the Power Apps screen, insert an Edit form -> Set its DataSource property to:
'Power Platform Training'

Where,

  1. Power Platform Training = SharePoint list name

On my Power Apps screen, there is a Text Input control, a List box control, and a Button control. The list box is connected to the above SharePoint list choice column.

Whenever the user selects multiple values from a list box and clicks on the Submit button, those list box selected values will be saved to a SharePoint list as shown below:
