- On the SharePoint site home page, click the Gear or Settings icon placed on the top right -> Select Site permissions.

- Under the Permissions window, we can easily find three access. Such as:
- Site owners: The members who have Full control over the entire SharePoint site.
- Site members: The members who have limited control over the SharePoint site’s Permission levels such as Read, view, and Edit.
- Site visitor: The members who have no control over the SharePoint site. They can only have the view permission but can not download the document.
- By expanding the Site owners section, one can be able to see the site owners of the particular SharePoint site.

Find SharePoint Site Owner using Microsoft 365 Admin center
Here, we will see how we can get SharePoint Site Owner using Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Log into the Microsoft admin center by using the URL.
- It will open your Microsoft 365 admin center. To work around this, expand the Teams and Groups section (From the left navigation) -> Click Active Teams and Groups as below.

- Then it will redirect to a page of all the Active teams and groups in the organization.
- Search for a SharePoint site on which you need to get the owner of the site (ex: Mercy Hospitals).

- It will filter the particular site from all the active sites of a group as shown below figure:

- Click on the Site Name (Mercy Hospitals), it will display all the information about that particular site.
- Tap on the Membership tab -> Click Owners -> You can see all the owners (like Chandrika, and Ganesh) for the particular SharePoint site.

How to add Site Owner in SharePoint Online
In this section, we will see how to add a Site Owner in SharePoint Online in different ways. There are 3 ways to add SharePoint Online Site Owner :
- Add Site Owner in SharePoint Online using Site Permissions
- Add Site Owner in SharePoint Online using Advanced permission settings
- Add Site Owner in SharePoint Online using Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Add Site Owner in SharePoint Online using Site Permissions
Next, We will see step by step procedure of how to add a Site Owner in SharePoint Online.
- On the SharePoint home page, Click on the Gear or Settings icon -> Click on Site permissions.
- The permissions panel will open up to add members as shown below.

- By clicking on Add Members, it will pop up with two options:
- Add members to the group
- Share site only

- By selecting Add members to the group, it will redirect to the page where you can add members.
- Enter the user name inside the Add Members field. Also, we can invite external guests by using Outlook.
- We can also change Members to Owners, by using the drop-down arrow in the member profile to make them Owner.
- Click on Save.

- Now we can see the owner and member will be added to the SharePoint site as shown in the below figure.

We can also add members to the site owners group through Advanced permission settings by following the below steps.
- Follow the above-mentioned steps to navigate to the site permissions.
- We can see the site owners in the permission panel as shown in the below figure.

Add Site Owner in SharePoint Online using Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Log into the Microsoft admin center by using the Admin URL.
- It will open your Microsoft 365 admin center. To work around this, expand the Teams and Groups section (From the left navigation)
- Click Active Teams and Groups -> Site Name (Mercy Hospitals)-> Membership tab of site-> Owners -> Click on Add Owners.

- It will navigate to the page of Add team members to the site.
- Search by name or email address in the search (ex: Preeti Sahu) and click Add.

- Then, it will Add owners to the SharePoint site as shown in the below figure:
